Less than two months ago Joel Feldman and his wife, Dianne Anderson, met with members of the  New York State Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA) at their Manhattan offices to present the EndDD.org distracted driving program and ask for help in speaking with New York teens about distracted driving.  Today NYSTLA members have spoken with close to 600 New York state teens and have more than a dozen presentations scheduled before the end of May. Said Joel Feldman, “The incredible response of NYSTLA is a testament to the commitment of its members to saving teen lives.”

Mike Jaffe, president of NYSTLA, said that his members ” see firsthand the devastation that can result from inattentive driving and that makes us the perfect fit to discuss these issues with others.  NYSTLA is taking part in this program to give back to our community, to help make it safe and to try to prevent unnecessary and harmful accidents.  Educating teens about the dangers of distracted driving is one of the best ways we’ve come across to help make that happen.  We’re trying to stop the disaster before it happens.”

Following a presentation at Great Neck North High School on Long Island, NY, Daniel Krauz, Assistant Principal said, “They connected to our students in such a calm and caring manner that the result was fantastic. The message is critically important to present to our young students as they begin to negotiate the world behind the wheel of a car. I cannot thank the association enough for reaching out and educating our students on the potential perils of distracted driving.”

Joel Feldman commented on how  gratifying it is that NTSTLA members have selflessly volunteered hundreds of hours to save teen lives through the EndDD program and that the community response to their efforts has been so positive. “Di and I look to NYSTLA members to lead the way in the effort to reduce distracted driving deaths  in New York state and across the country.”
